Eshiik • 11 yr. ago. I dunno exactly, but seeing as this is the last BWE and all characters will be wiped for release, just use a random name. For release, though, it might be instantaneous for the name to become available again, to a day at the latest. At least, that's what I've noticed for GW1.

Submit a ticket/email support with the account information that you do have, and it's possible that they will be able to retrieve a character name for you; however, be prepared for a wait. Good luck.

My real life surname’s very similar to most of my characters first name, Maxxim. I kinda liked the sound of it and decided to give most of my characters a common shared first name. Best one’s are: Maxxim Midas (Midas being an ancient greek king)

Don't forget that GW characters have at least two names, not just one like most games, if that helps you remember your name. Some of my guild mates decided to make a group of characters that were all family. So we looked at several surnames, but went with a made up surname to ensure name availability. Several of my human characters are from the same family, using a made up surname. Asura tend to have job related titles, often colorful ones.
