I clicked that button because I don't remember my password, not because I wanted a new one. I emailed their support, but that'll probably be a while before I can answer it. I also typed in my product key code off Steam into the page on their website to link the game to my master account, but it told me the key was in use. Expect it to take some time to get a response from CS (covid-19 - people at ANet working from home and more people playing during pandemic). Do follow up the same ticket (from Support site or from email) and do not start a new one (as long it is the same ticket you want to follow up) as that will not make your ticket go any faster to be handled. I played GW1 through Factions back in the day, and recently got an itch to play again. Given that it's been years, I don't remember password/character names, etc. I submitted a ticket (#1340965) 14 days ago (March 11th) and immediately got the automated response saying it had been received. A week later (March 18th), I went hunting around and If the code doesn't arrive within sixty minutes*, you can either wait longer (we’ve had reports of codes suddenly delivering after an hour or so) or contact our support team for help changing your authentication options. If you end up receiving your code while waiting for a reply, simply let us know so we can close out your ticket! I typed in my password and email normally and it didnt work. I want to try the game out but i cant becuase of this. I wanna take a small break from WoW and see how well this does. Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team! Same here, until it FINALLY seemed to verify and now it refuses my password :( Added: trying to reset my password gets me 'this service in unavailable'. I also cannot log into my GW1 account anymore :(( EDIT: at last I could reset my pw and I'm in :) Whether I have the "Remember Password" checkbox checked or not, I still have to type in my password every single time I want to log in. I also have the "Remember Account Name" checkbox checked and the launcher has no problem remembering it, but not the password. It hasn't remembered my password for the entire two and a half years I've played GW2. Seems like once every few months, if I accidentally un-check the "remember password" button, my current password typed in again will not work. I'm sure some will say, "are you sure it's the right password?". Well yes, I am sure. I've written it down, and typed it in exactly as it is supposed to be. For some reason Gw2 just tells me its invalid. First, check the in-game audio sliders and make sure they are not turned all the way down, and that you have selected the correct audio output device in the "Audio Device" dropdown. Then, ensure that Guild Wars 2 is not turned down or muted in your Windows Volume Mixer. You can often find this program pinned to the far right of the Windows task
