Something that has bothered me for a long time now, this all stems from an accident of placing a valuable infusion into one of the level 80 boost gear that was "given" to my character (the infusion was a+5/+9 agony infusion into one of the "given" exotic earrings). A few days i was in exactly your position. I played a thief and was around level 30. i decided to buy the first 2 expansions for 30€. First of all you unlock mounts, you need a level 80 player to carry you through the mission that unlocks them, but being able to ride on a dinosaur makes exploring really easy and cool. It's advisable to have at least one lvl 80 levelled the normal way because it helps learnt the game better. A lot of people boost, go straight to level 80 areas in HoT or PoF and then find themselves unable to do anything having skipped so much of end areas of the core maps (Orr) and Living World Season 2 IMO it's a lot more fun to do map completion at max level with all 3 traits and all utilities unlocked. So players can boost to 80 and then start doing map completion, and get all the things mentioned above, including keys for doing map complete. Level 80 boost doesnt affect your progression, just your level (and give some rewards and bad gear). Thanks, good to know. Yes, you will start with the level 10 story. A nice thing is that you won’t feel like a god amongst men when level 80 and and doing level 10 personal story. I bought the full game about four days ago and haven't been able to use my boost due to them being "temporarily disabled." I understand a short inconvenience for a couple days but this is getting really annoying. You need to be level 80 to get your first mount which would make progression 10x faster and more enjoyable for me. If anybody asks me if they should use the lvl 80 boost, my answer would be to level at least one character from 1-80 first then use the boost on whatever you want next. The experience of running around the world as a fresh character is an experience in itself. If you did it with one character already, that's good enough. On the surface the level 80 boost may appear to be a fun way for new players to get into the game and start having fun immediately and it is for a…
