EYi82. Half-Life: Alyx has 42 achievements on Steam. The achievement Gnome Alone was added to Half-Life: Alyx in an update on November 18, 2020, as a means to create awareness for Rockets Lab's Return To Sender mission launched on November 20.

01. It's literary a BROKEN ACHIEVEMENT, you can probably get it just for being an idiot / or a nice person as you may already have been. 02. Apparently you can get this from any map or mode (means any campaign or survival or whatever) and just need to wait until it to trigger. You cannot get the achievement if your character is dead on arrival.
From what I'm reading there's an achievement called "Little Rocket Man" which you get by launching the garden gnome into space. I've just picked up the gnome. Is "Little Rocket Man" an important part of the game play, or is it something like the "One Free Bullet" achievement in the previous game, something some players can go for but which doesn't affect the game at all?
