You're totally right! episodic (Half-Life 2: Episode 1) ep2 (Half-Life 2: Episode 2, can be played without python3 waf build) hl1 (Half-Life: Source) hl2; portal; dod (Day of Defeat: Source) hl2mp (Half-Life 2: Deathmatch) 4. Open your "Half-Life 2" Folder. (Portal and/or Day of Defeat Source, if you're installing those games) (Right-Click > "Browse local files" on Replace with the Hz your headset display is running at (e.g. an HTC Vive running at 90 Hz would mean adding "-tickrate 90" to the launch options). This synchronizes physics ticks with game ticks (and input polling) more or less, making everything super smooth. Also works in regular HL2, but the physics stutter is not as prevalent in 2D (still very noticeable on high refresh rate monitors). Check the video settings, and make sure that "Shadow detail" is set to high. Also, if the hardware DirectX level shown is less than 9.0, you need to fix it (since it causes other problems as well) by running the game once with the launch option -dxlevel 95 and then removing it. yeah, try -dxlevel 90 in the launch options. #2. Step 3: Set Half-Life 2 Launch Options. Add MODNAME=yearlongalarm before your Half-Life 2 launch options. NOTE: The launch option is for Half-Life 2, not the mod itself! Save the settings, and start Half-Life 2 (again, not the mod!), you can see Year Long Alarm is launched successfully. ABOUT. It's really weird. It is probably input lag. A common problem with V-Sync. More fps - less inputlag. You dont really need to cap it. I find CS:GO I need 0, some games say Half-Life: Source would result in 2 l337 fps with 0. So I turn to say 121/300. V-sync caps at 60fps, you cannot change that for my knowledge.
